Mandl Named to GBA Board

Governor Sonny Perdue has announced the appointment of Michael J. Mandl of Atlanta to the Georgia Building Authority.

Mandl, 46, is the executive vice president for finance and administration at Emory University.  He serves on several University committees, including the President’s Cabinet, President’s Administrative Council, University Ways and Means Committee, Strategic Planning Steering Committee, and the Sustainability Committee. He also serves on the boards of the Metro Atlanta YMCA, The Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee and Executive Committee of the Midtown Alliance Board of Directors, chairs the EmTech Incubator board and serves on the Emory Healthcare and Clifton Casualty Insurance Company boards.

The Georgia Building Authority is responsible for all services associated with the management of nearly 50 buildings and facilities located in the Capitol Hill Complex, including the Georgia State Capitol building and the Governor's Mansion in northeast Atlanta. GBA provides maintenance, renovations, housekeeping, landscaping, food service, event catering, recycling, parking and building access services to state employees housed in GBA-managed facilities.
