James B. Talley, Jr.
James B. Talley, Jr., is a graduate of Presbyterian College, Clinton, South Carolina (BA History, 1970) and Walter F. George School of Law (Mercer University) (JD, 1979) where he was on the Mercer Law Review. He has been an active member of the Georgia Bar since 1979. He is admitted to practice before the Superior Court, Court of Appeals, Supreme Court of Georgia, and the United States District Court.
Mr. Talley handles residential and commercial real estate matters, as well as domestic relations, probate matters and general litigation.
A pilot in the United States Marine Corps prior to attending law school, Mr. Talley has remained active in the Marine Corps Reserves and has attained the rank of Colonel.
Mr. Talley is active in many civic and community activities. He is a former Director of the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce and has also served as chairman of the Star Student Committee. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Chattahoochee Technical Institute and is Secretary of the Board for Paulding Enterprises (Paulding County Retardation Organization), and currently serves on the Paulding County Airport Authority. He is active in Civitan, serving as President in 1987.
Mr. Talley and his wife, Ramona, are members of the Dallas First United Methodist Church.
