Sloppy Floyd Building
The Sloppy Floyd Cafeteria, located in the James H Floyd Building, is GBA's largest cafeteria and serves over 9,400 people each week. The cafeteria is located across from the State Capitol, and used by legislators, lobbyists, state employees, downtown employees and visitors to Capitol Hill every day.
The cafeteria is a smoke-free environment, and the Twin Towers building offers seating inside, outside and in the plaza level solarium with a spectacular view of the gold dome and beautiful Capitol Hill. The Sloppy Floyd Cafeteria is open from 6:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is closed on state holidays.
Directions to the Sloppy Floyd Cafeteria
Northbound on I-75/85:
• Exit at Central Avenue/Fulton St.
• Take a right at first light
• Take a left at next light, onto Capitol Avenue
• When Capitol Avenue turns into Piedmont,
Sloppy Floyd Building is on right
• Cafeteria is on bottom level of building
Southbound on I-75-85:
• Exit at Martin Luther King Jr., Drive/State Capitol
• Go straight through first light at Jesse Hill, Jr. Drive
• Sloppy Floyd Building is immediately on right
• Cafeteria is on bottom level of building
