Charles Petty was appointed assistant director of the Georgia Building Authority on June 1, 2008. Petty joins GBA with more than 15 years of service to the State of Georgia and 30 years of fiscal management.

Charles most recently served as Director of the Administration Division for the Department of Administrative Services and was a member of leadership team since 2003. Prior to joining DOAS in 1997 as the Fiscal Services Director, he served four years as the Director of Administrative Services with Lake Lanier Islands Development Authority. He also held various positions in administration, accounting, operations, and consulting in the private sector including the hospitality industry.

Mr. Petty earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Economics and in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration in Management, both from West Georgia College. He is a member of the Georgia Fiscal Management Council and the Association of Government.
