General Policies

AV Equipment
All audio-visual needs must be coordinated with the CEC Technical Coordinator at least five business days prior to the day of the program. Changes made less than 48 hours prior to the event are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. For special requests not listed in this guidebook, please contact the Technical Specialist at (404) 463-7714. Use of any outside equipment must be approved by the CEC’s Technical Specialist and may result in additional charges.

Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages may be consumed on the property in compliance with current Georgia Law. Employees of the Georgia Building Authority are strictly prohibited from providing or serving alcoholic beverages on the premises. Alcoholic beverages may not be sold on the property.

Signage
No signs, decorations, or displays may be tacked, glued, or taped to walls, columns, wooden doors, rails, ceilings, floors or furniture inside or outside the facility. A limited number of easels are available to display event signs.

Storage & Security
The CEC has no storage space. Groups are advised to plan events so that set up may occur on the day of event and break down as soon as the event is finished. While the facility remains locked after hours and regular patrols are made by the Capitol police, the CEC cannot guarantee, nor be responsible for, the security of equipment or items left overnight. Packages and/or equipment may not be delivered or shipped to the facility. GBA assumes no responsibility for lost and/or damaged materials; therefore, the CEC cannot receive shipments of materials. Items shipped to the CEC will be refused and returned to the sender. The Capitol Education Center is a non-smoking facility. Animals are not allowed in the CEC except for service animals.

Business Services
The CEC does not provide business services. We are unable to provide access to computers, fax machine, copier, and supplies. Please make sure that you bring all necessary items to your meeting (ie. paper, pens, pencils, copies, and etc.). Also, please be sure to pass this information on to your staff and participants.
