First Lady Marty Kemp Hosts First Self-Defense Class in the State Capitol

Atlanta, GA – (January 30, 2020)   First Lady Marty Kemp, in support of her partnership with the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) and Georgians for Refuge, Action, Compassion, and Education Commission (GRACE),  hosted a self –defense class in the North Wing of the Georgia State Capitol. The event focused on combating human trafficking through teaching self-defense techniques.

Dedication of Nathan Deal Judicial Center

Atlanta, Georgia- (February 11, 2020) The Supreme Court of Georgia and The Georgia Court of Appeals hosted a dedication ceremony honoring the completion of the Nathan Deal Judicial Center.

Associate Justice Clarence Thomas, Governor Brian Kemp, former Governor Nathan Deal, State Attorney General Christopher Carr, other constitutional officers, federal and state judges, and state legislators among guest in attendance.

Lighting of the Capitol Tree

Atlanta, GA - (December 3, 2019) First Lady and Governor Kemp hosted their first State Capitol Tree Lighting Ceremony as First Lady and Governor of Georgia at 1 p.m. in the North Wing of the Capitol.  Georgia Building Authority’s Executive Director Marty Smith, nationally syndicated talk show host Clark Howard, and even Santa and Mrs. Claus joined them in celebrating and listening to the Grammy Award Winning Atlanta Boy Choir.
